I have a background in education and I love sharing the joy of creating with clay. It feels like a natural extension of my time as a teacher.
Clay has a soothing quality, it is of the Earth and working with it is very grounding. It has been used through the millennia to make sculptures as well as functional pots. It is wonderful to watch someone start with a lump of clay and see the vast diversity of what can be made, so much fun. I hope you will come and join me!
CHRISTMAS Pottery Workshop
A social and fun evening to make a tealight holder and some unique ceramic Christmas decorations or gift tags.
We will use hand building techniques including pinch bowls and slab rolling. There will be coloured slips to add variety and colour to your creations.
For the complete beginners I will lead you step by step through the process of making. There will also be plenty of time to bring your own creativity and ideas to the process.
It is suitable for complete beginner to intermediate who would like to build on their skills. Adults and children aged 12 or over.

Cost: £50 Per Person – includes all materials, 2 firings of your pottery and glazing in time for Christmas (19th December)!

1:1 Pottery throwing
Come and join me in my garden studio for a bespoke workshop to learn how to make pottery on a potters wheel.
This will be suitable for complete beginners to intermediate, adults and children aged 12+.
The studio is very small so 1:1 or a max of 1:2
£40 per hour 1:1 or £60 per hour 1:2. This includes all materials, firing your pottery twice and glazing in a colour of your choice.
